i like the grey box. it is part of the layout. for the fan club page i am ok without it. but i would not remove from the index page.

@stulloyd: in your patch you are using blend.fx which is not distributed with vvvv. so when others open your patch the blend-node is missing and not connected.

you shouldn't need to use a .de server. but then, right, not all rooms are visible on all servers all the time. also for now #vvvv is empty often when i am not there. so come on in people or find something better!
