Welcome!
Here you will find a few modules I designed in the past. As some of them might be useful for other users as well, I decided to add help patches and share them with you. So please feel free to download and drop me a line if you like.
Enjoy!
Sven
NOTE: HelpPatches and modules have been updated for 33beta9.10. Everything is provided as is and without any warranty. Use at your own risk.
INSTALLATION: Create a folder called "sven" inside VVVVs "modules" folder and drop the content of the unzipped folders (including HelpPatches) there. That's all.
EdgeMorph
Inverting the polarity of sawtooth signals the way EdgeMorph does, is a pretty common method in the field of sound synthesis. In vvvv this module might become interesting when working with different kinds of hierarchical allocation.
Stack
Stacking values is a very useful way to record data.
This module accepts single values as well as complete spreads.
NoiseDithering
Among many other techniques like ordered dithering or error diffusion, noise dithering is a simple way to display non-boolean values within a bitmap.
Basically I created this module to generate boolean fields with adjustable density.
PeriodicSequencer
Useful for creating polyrhythmic, yet synchronized loops of trigger events.
PeriodicSequencer (Animation).zip
StepSequencer
Same as above but in contrast to the PeriodicSequencer the velocity for playing back a sequence results from the time between every single step.
Particles
Basically this is a visual effect.
Particle emitters should be known to everyone working with halfway up-to-date 3D software. Even realtime authoring environments like Macromedia Director nowadays feature such systems, so I decided to design one for vvvv.
Roll
Roll enables you to apply incremental rotations on objects without transforming the reference axis itself.
You might need this type of transformation for example when rolling an object over a plane in different directions.
Component Video Color Models
The YIQ and YUV color models provide classic color space conversion which allows to desaturate colors while keeping their typical luminance.
Also these models are useful for emulating the color spectrum of old fashioned video processors from a pre-RGB era.
SeparateFaces
Reconstructs a mesh by separating every single face.
