DMX interface Cinetix USB / DMX-512 Control Box
The Cinetix USB / DMX-512 Control Box is a very flexible DMX interface that can send, read and even merge (have not yet tested merge mode) DMX-data.
It connects to the computer via USB but can be used with VVVV subpatches, as it is controlled through RS232 and a virtual COM-Port that is available after installing the "virtual-COM-Port-driver" from http://www.ftdichip.com.
This virtual COM-Port is not limited to the data rate of a normal COM-Port but works on the full USB data rate. Thereby the interface is really fast even when working with lots of DMX-channels.
More information about this interface can be found at http://cinetix.de/intrface/usdmxbox.htm

The following module sends a spread of values (0-1 = DMX0-255) to the interface.
DMX (Devices Cinetix USBDMX sender).zip (4.06 Kb)

The following modul does read DMX into VVVV.
It always outputs a spread with 512 slices and values ranging from 0-255.
DMX (Devices Cinetix USBDMX receiver).zip (2.48 Kb)
Attention:
The Cinetix USB/DMX-512 Control Box works very straight following the DMX512(1990) standard.
So it has the usual problems when working with older controllers that were built following the original DMX512 standard (like the still widely used MA Scancommander).
A detailed information about the difference/problems between these standards can be found under point 3 at http://www.dmx512-online.com/packt.html .
